I’m Miguel Maldonado, born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. Since the beginning of my career, fashion has been my passion and guiding force. I graduated in 2003 with a degree in Fashion Design and Marketing from CEDIM (Centro de Estudios Superiores de Diseño de Monterrey), marking the start of a professional journey spanning more than two decades, working in various countries and on international projects.

My career began as a fashion stylist for advertising campaigns and catalogs, working alongside renowned photographer Elías Terrazas between 2000 and 2004. During this time, I refined my skills and developed a unique style that allowed me to grow and take on new challenges in the fashion industry.

In 2005, I moved to Barcelona, Spain, to pursue a master’s degree in Styling, Image, and Communication at EATM / ESDI (Escuela Superior de Diseño). There, I expanded my knowledge of the industry and worked on costume design for the theater school of Verónica Pallini – Porta4. I also built my own client portfolio, offering image consulting and working as a personal shopper, which helped me establish a solid professional base in Europe.

In 2012, I completed a summer course at the Catalan Institute of Fashion (ICM) in Window Dressing and Visual Merchandising. This allowed me to adopt a more comprehensive approach to design and enhance my ability to create effective visual strategies.

In 2015, I moved to Berlin, Germany, where I launched my own business as a fashion stylist and personal shopper. Since then, I’ve collaborated with brands and creatives across various industries, providing strategic and communication consulting to strengthen their image and market positioning.

In 2025, together with my husband, I founded Mi/Ma 79, a multidisciplinary agency. Our work focuses on balancing creativity with the development of innovative communication strategies across fashion, art, and design. Through Mi/Ma 79, we offer comprehensive solutions ranging from image and style development to the creation of visual and conceptual communication campaigns.

That same year, in September 2025, I moved to New York City, United States, where I’m currently based and continue developing creative projects and international collaborations. From here, we remain focused on evolving our vision and delivering work that is practical, contemporary, and adaptable across different contexts.

My experience has allowed me to work with international teams, as well as with renowned designers, photographers, and creatives—always with the aim of offering styling and communication solutions that make an impact, inspire, and resonate with audiences. My passion for fashion and commitment to my work have taken me to live and work in Mexico, Spain, Germany, and now the United States.

My approach is always centered on creating unique strategies tailored to each client and project, with the goal of highlighting their essence and generating lasting impact.
